Our country couldn’t be more fractured. Every news media outlet regurgitates it. I get it.
The question is: What’s going to bring us together and lead us into the future as a more united America?
The greatest of leaders have always been those who can lead in diversity. It’s a piece of cake – at least in comparison – to lead those who think like you and share the same values. But leading others who differ is a horse of a different color.
There are many leaders through the ages who have successfully accomplished this, but they’ve often done so by taking completely different approaches to leadership than their predecessors.
On the eve of this Thanksgiving week, consider the Pilgrims, who came into a foreign land with a foreign people already occupying it.
